Health and Safety

Our commitment to health and safety

Creating and maintaining a healthy and safe environment for visitors and staff is our core value. We focus on continuously improving our systems, equipment and infrastructure to ensure our exemplary health and safety standards are met.

Our diverse activities have specific requirements and separate regulators, so please refer to the activity you plan to participate in to gain an understanding of the associated risks and how we manage them.

We care about providing safe and enjoyable experiences. If you have any questions or would like further information regarding safety measures or activity details, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Zipline

Our zipline tour is an adventure activity that operates in a natural environment where unpredictable and uncontrollable events can occur that may result in harm.

We have a comprehensive safety management system, that is audited by AdventureMark and regulated by WorkSafe NZ, to meet New Zealand standards and best practice for adventure activities. Despite these measures, we cannot eliminate all risks. It is important that you are aware of the risks that may lead to injury, serious harm, or death.

The risks include, but are not limited to falling from height, zipline collisions, guide errors, slips and falls, entanglement, railway accidents, falling vegetation as well as severe weather events, including thunderstorms, strong winds and extreme temperatures.

Visitor responsibilities

We need all visitors to support us in ensuring every zipline tour is safe and enjoyable by:

  • Completing the pre- tour check-in form
  • Informing our staff of any medical conditions or concerns prior to your experience
  • Meeting our participation requirements, including age, weight and ability
  • Taking reasonable responsibility for dependents in your booking group
